How it works?
BetGuard lets you self-exclude from online gambling in Ontario for anywhere from 6 months to 5 years.
Once registered, regulated gambling sites will prevent you from accessing existing accounts or creating new ones and stop all marketing.
Opting out with BetGuard cannot be done by anyone else but the person in question, due to a strict identification process.
You can’t shorten your exclusion period, but you can extend it at any time.
To sign up you need a valid government photo ID, a permanent Canadian or U.S. address, a valid cell phone number and email address.
